:) maybe thats what the holyspirit looks like. Since the doctrine has caused confusion, battles, arguments, hate and anger for quite a long time. That is, if the imaginary creature, the ghost, really exists. peace out.

if enough peeps believe in an icon it does exist, but what form it takes depends on the hearts and minds of those who pray for it.

neh. alot of people believe in flying spaghetti monster - does it exist?. widespread "belief" is not proof ma friend. "what form it takes depends on the hearts and minds of those who pray for it." - exactly, like reading fiction.

guess it depends on how you measure existence, some will say love or fear exists, while others will point out the psychology behind it. I agree with you that a belief is not proof, but sometimes we need to make assumptions to move forward, exspecially when dealing with our mortality.

I'm one who says love and fear is all just a concept. it is not something that "exists" (define existence). Anyways, not the point. Some people (not everyone) makes up assumptions. But people who are stronger (in minds, like skeptics/freethinkers) can go along fine by saying "I dont know" to a question of mortality. And also say that "Life is meaning less" or just wait for a meaning, since it can never be proved without scientific evidence/and/or/miracle. --- I'm fine when saying "I don't know" to the ultimate questions. I like to be proven wrong. I remain open for any new arguments. & also, living has nothing to do with making up your own answers. It is our human nature that puts it in front with so much importance, but the fact remains that it is only the smallest thing that we should worry about.

hehe I fink those who state "I don't know" will always be correct, we're all a bunch of well trained monkeys :). Your last sentance was bang on, smallest things have the greatest effect. When you put theories of life next to them, there importance tends to fade out of view. Take the belief in little green men or conspiracy theories.

Back to the existance of the holy ghost. I don't know, so it is still a possibility. :P
